If there’s one thing all Canadians want to achieve, it’s true financial well-being. There’s nothing more rewarding than deciding for yourself how you want to live. But getting there takes more than just investing. It’s about making better financial decisions and ensuring you have a financial plan that evolves with your life. To find out if you’re on track, take the NEW IG Living Plan Snapshot. After answering a few questions, you’ll receive a score for each dimension of your financial well-being. This number, and the accompanying recommendations, can be used by you and an advisor to help you stay open to more of life’s possibilities.

This holistic plan considers your full financial life and looks at whether you’re saving enough, spending wisely, properly protecting yourself from the unexpected, while always considering how to maximize your tax efficiency along the way. Our goal? To improve your financial well-being and make sure you can embrace all of life’s possibilities.
Which of my information will be shared with an IG Consultant?
All your Snapshot answers will be shared with an IG Consultant.
- The Snapshot questions and your answers from each Pillar (Optimizing your Retirement, Sharing your Wealth, Managing Cash Flow, Preparing for the Unexpected, Planning for Major Expenditures) will be shared.
- Your score for each Pillar.
- Your overall Snapshot score.
- Your contact information:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Telephone Number
- Postal Code
If I did not complete the Snapshot quiz, will my information be saved?
Your information will not be saved if you do not complete the Snapshot quiz.
When does my information get saved?
Your information will be saved when you complete the Snapshot quiz and a valid email address is provided.
What happens when I complete the Snapshot quiz but do not request to contact an IG Consultant?
You can save your progress by clicking on “Save my progress” on the Snapshot summary page.
Enter your email address and click “Email score summary”.
An email will be sent to the email address provided with a link to your Snapshot summary page which will display your most current answers and score.
I requested an IG Consultant to contact me, but I have not been contacted.
An IG Consultant should contact you within two business days of your contact request.
An IG Consultant has not contacted me within the two business days. What do I do?
We encourage you to visit https://www.investorsgroup.com/en/find-an-advisor to find an IG Consultant.
An IG Consultant will be happy to discuss your IG Living Plan Snapshot results with you.
I am already an Investors Group client. How would I benefit from taking the Snapshot quiz?
The IG Living Plan Snapshot is a quick quiz that will give you insight on your current financial well-being.
If you have taken the Snapshot quiz, you can discuss your results with your IG Consultant.
How can I send my feedback regarding my Snapshot experience?
We welcome your feedback! There is a “Send us your feedback” button displayed on the bottom right of the Summary Page.
Clicking on the button will open a new window with the Snapshot Feedback form.
Upon submission, Investors Group will review your feedback.
How do I find out what the different scores mean?
At the end of each Pillar section, the Summary Page will be displayed with the following components:
- Overall Snapshot score
- Pillar score
- A short explanation of the Pillar score
I got my Snapshot results. What can I do to improve their score?
We encourage you to meet with an IG Consultant to discuss your scores and discover the many opportunities Investors Group has to help you achieve your best financial well-being.
How long is my information stored?
Your information is stored indefinitely and can be refreshed if you retake the Snapshot quiz and use the same email address to save your results.
How is my information used, collected, and stored?
Your information is used to:
- Calculate the Snapshot pillar score and overall score
- Find an IG Consultant
- Inform an IG Consultant on your Snapshot answers and scores
Your information is collected and stored in a highly secure database.
I got a 400-error page. Why did this happen?
There are various possible reasons for the 400 error:
- The Snapshot application is down.
- You may have clicked on the “Back” button to get back to the Summary Page after answering questions in the next Pillar.
- Please restart the Snapshot quiz.
