Canada Post strike
IG Wealth Management has been making preparations to help minimize the impact of a strike at Canada Post.
Most of our business processes are electronic, however there are some areas of service that we provide to you through postal delivery. Here’s how we will manage these mailings during a strike:
Cheques to clients
Redemption proceeds and other payments that are normally mailed to your home will be sent by courier to your IG Wealth Management region office. Your Consultant will then contact you to arrange pick-up/delivery.
Note: The fastest and most reliable form of payment is through direct deposit to your bank account. If you plan to make a redemption during a Canada Post strike period, or if your regular payments from IG Wealth Management are issued by cheque, we encourage you to ask your Consultant to have your payments switched to direct deposit.
During periods of rotating strikes, most other mailings, such as client statements, trade confirmations, prospectuses, etc. will continue to be mailed to you however delivery may be delayed. In the event of a full strike, non-urgent mailings would be held until postal service resumes.
