Investors Group Global Series RSP Funds closed to new investments
Winnipeg, MB – June 20, 2005: Investors Group has announced that six Investors Group Global Series RSP Funds were closed to new investments effective with the close of business Friday, June 17th, other than with respect to Pre-Authorized Contribution Arrangements that are now in place. Distributions from units now held in the Global Series RSP Funds may also continue to be reinvested in these Funds.
This action is being taken in preparation for the removal of foreign content restrictions as proposed in the recent federal budget. The Investors Group Global Series RSP Funds were created to allow investors to increase the exposure of their tax-deferred retirement plans to foreign markets by tracking the performance of other select Investors Group foreign equity funds, as follows:
